Risk Disclosure

Cryptocurrency is a relatively young asset class with significant specific risks. Nothing on this site is financial advice, and we are not a broker, wallet, exchange, or advisor.

Volatility

Cryptocurrency prices can move by 10% or more in a single day. Do not invest money you cannot afford to lose, and do not treat crypto as a savings account.

Not federally insured

Unlike bank deposits, crypto held on an exchange is generally not insured by the FDIC or NCUA. If an exchange fails, you may not recover your funds.

Exchange and custody risk

Exchanges have failed and frozen withdrawals in the past. Holding funds you do not trade on an exchange carries this custody risk; long-term holdings are better kept in a wallet you control.

Regulatory risk

Crypto regulation is still evolving. An exchange legal in your country today may face restrictions tomorrow. Use only exchanges legally available where you live, and never use a VPN to bypass a geo-block — it may violate the exchange's terms.

Scams

Worthless tokens, Ponzi returns, and fake "support" contacts are common. If an offer promises guaranteed returns, it is a scam.

Do your own research

We provide comparison and education, not financial advice. Verify every claim on the exchange's own site before depositing.
